Who uses PeekWell, and why
- Founder or CEO
- An investor’s checklist asks about GDPR, or a large customer sends a privacy questionnaire. The report answers from what your site really does, and lists what to fix first.
- Legal, compliance or privacy lead
- You wrote the privacy policy, but you can’t see what the site loads. PeekWell reads the policy against the site and keeps a dated record, every month on Accreditation.
- Marketing or web lead
- Tags, pixels and plugins change every week. The report names the ones that run before consent, and the fix prompt goes to whoever edits the code.
- Agency
- You look after sites for clients. A monthly scan and a public badge show the upkeep that happens between launches.
Investors, accelerators and grant programmes screen a whole portfolio with Organizations.
Step 1: Create your account
Open Join now and fill in your full name, your work email and a password of at least eight characters. Use the address you want reports and invitations to reach.

- Full name
- Work email
- Password
- Create account
We email you a link to confirm the address. You can look around straight away, but you need to confirm it before you request a scan, upgrade or subscribe. The first time you sign in, a short story about Peeky plays. Skip it if you’re in a hurry.
Step 2: Add your company
From the dashboard, choose Create your company. Only the name is required, but fill in the rest if you can. Company size changes which checks apply and how a few of them weigh. Under About the company, tick what’s true today: health topics, an audience of children, subscriptions, payments on the site. Each tick brings in the rules that go with it.

- Company size, from Micro to Large. How size changes the score
- About the company
- Add company
You become the company’s manager, and it starts on Trial.
Step 3: Add a website and choose where you sell
Peeky reads a site against one jurisdiction’s rules at a time, so every website sits in a scan context: your company under the EU, the UK or the US. Each context has its own report, score and history.
Pick the jurisdiction, tick any markets inside it where you have users, and give the address of your main site. Markets add local checks, like the German imprint (Impressum) or California’s Do Not Sell or Share link.

- Jurisdiction
- Markets, if you want their local checks
- First website
- Add scan context
On the context page, add your privacy policy, terms and imprint pages too, so Peeky reads the ones you mean. Trial has one context with one website. Plus has up to 3 contexts, such as the EU, UK and US, with up to 10 websites in each.
Step 4: Request a compliance scan
On the context page, choose Request scan. Tick the context and leave a note if something is about to change, like a launch date.
Then choose when. A standard scan runs overnight with others and can take a day or more. A priority scan, on Plus, goes to the hourly runs and usually finishes within a couple of hours, for a one-time fee per context that you see before you pay. The scan on Trial is free.

- The context, with its first scan free
- Note for the team
- Priority scan, on Plus
- Request scan
The request page shows where things stand: Queued, In progress, then Completed. The report opens from there once the scan is published, so that’s the page to check.

- Where the request stands
- What happens next
- Cancel request, while it’s still waiting
Step 5: Read your website compliance report
The report opens with a score out of 100, how many findings and passes there were, and the rule set it was measured against. A critical finding holds the score at 69 or under until it’s fixed. How the score is calculated has the working.

- The score
- Findings and passes, by severity
- How the score is calculated
Under What we found, every check is listed, grouped by area, such as consent or accessibility. On Trial one finding is open in full, the most pressing one, and the rest stay locked until you upgrade.

- The finding that’s open on Trial
- Copy fix prompt
- A locked finding
Open a finding to see what Peeky saw, the evidence it kept, a plain-words version and the fix. Read more details on the wiki leads to the check’s page in this Handbook, with the law and the cases behind it.

- Severity, and the laws it touches

- The check’s page in the Handbook
Step 6: Copy the fix prompt
Under The fix, Copy fix prompt puts a short brief on your clipboard for the AI assistant that works on your website’s code. It names the check and says what was seen on your site, what to change and how to test it.

- The fix, step by step
- Copy fix prompt
- Copied to your clipboard
- The prompt, ready to paste
Paste it into your coding assistant and review the change like any other. The next scan shows whether it held. On Plus, Copy fix-all prompt at the top of the report covers every finding at once.
Step 7: Unlock the full report with Plus
Plus is a one-time upgrade per company. A manager pays for it from Billing, through a billing account: a name for it, the email that receipts go to, and a country, which sets the currency. Then add a card. The card details go straight to the payment provider, and PeekWell keeps the brand, the last four digits and the expiry.

- Billing email, for receipts
- Billing country, which sets the currency
- Create account
With a card on the account, choose Upgrade to Plus. Every scan’s report opens in full: every finding, its evidence, its fix and its prompt.

- What Plus opens
- Upgrade to Plus
Plus also brings up to 10 members, priority scans and the Accreditation subscription. Pricing has the prices.

- Every finding, named
- Findings, passes and the checks that couldn’t be settled
Step 8: Show the badge with Accreditation
Accreditation is a monthly subscription, on top of Plus. Every month Peeky scans every active context, and one subscription covers them all. A fresh scan starts as soon as you subscribe. Cancel any time, and it runs to the end of the month.

- What the subscription does
- The account it charges
- Start subscription
A context is accredited while its latest scan scores 70 or more. Publish your accreditation page, choose the contexts it lists, then copy the badge or the card onto your site or into a README.

- Where things stand
- Accredited
- Why, and until when
The badge keeps itself current. It switches to “not active” if a scan drops below 70 or the subscription ends. PeekWell’s own page shows how a published one looks.

- The badge, as your visitors see it
- The badge as HTML
- The card, as a script
Step 9: Bring in your team
Under Members, invite people by email and choose a role. Managers run the company, billing included. Developers see every finding with its fix and prompt. Lite members see the score and every finding without the fixes, which suits a lawyer or an adviser. Trial has 3 places, Plus 10.

Questions
How do I check my website’s compliance with PeekWell?
Create an account, add your company, add its website under the jurisdiction you sell in, and request a scan. The report lists what Peeky observed, with the rule and a fix for each finding.
Trial includes one scan, free, and opens one finding in full.
How long does a compliance scan take?
A standard scan runs overnight with others and can take a day or more. A priority scan, on Plus, goes to the hourly runs and usually finishes within a couple of hours.
The report opens on the request page once the scan is published.
Is PeekWell free to try?
Yes. Trial costs nothing: one company, one scan context with one website, and one scan. The report shows your score, lists every check and opens one finding in full, with its fix prompt. Plus, a one-time upgrade per company, opens the rest.
What is a fix prompt?
A short brief for the AI assistant that works on your website’s code. It names the check and says what was seen on your site, what to change and how to test it. Paste it in, review the change, and the next scan shows whether it held.
Is the accreditation badge a compliance badge?
No. The badge says that the latest monthly scan scored 70 or more on the pages scanned, and it switches to “not active” by itself when that stops being true. It doesn’t say a website is compliant, and it isn’t legal advice.
Which jurisdictions can I scan?
Each scan context is one jurisdiction, such as the EU, UK or US, with more than ten checks for each one. Markets inside it, like Germany or California, add local checks. Trial has one context, Plus up to 3.
Can my developer or lawyer see the report?
Yes. Invite them from Members. A developer sees every finding with its fix and prompt. A lite member sees the score and the findings without the fixes, which suits a lawyer or an adviser. Trial has 3 places, Plus 10.
